Carved in relief with elegantly arched neck and incised eye and beak, with splayed wings and legs, unfinished and still attached at the back to the block from which it was carved,D uck vessels in this form were popular in the New Kingdom, compare W.C. Hayes, The Scepter of Egypt-Part I (New York) 1953, fig.199.
