Esa – Your New Plancha Pal Esa is fabricated in collaboration with a woodworker and steel manufacturer in Niigata Prefecture, northwest of Tokyo. We set out to design a tool that combines the finesse of a mini offset spatula with the utility of a fish spatula. You’ll find rounded corners, generous surface area, and a slightly oversized handle for a more comfortable grip. It's ideal for delicate pastry work like frosting a cake or smoothing batter in a tray, as well as more heavy-duty tasks like flipping pancakes or fish. Also excellent for plating purées and small vegetables. Hand-wash only. If you'd like to preserve the patina and grain of the wood, treat regularly with walnut oil or cutting board oil. Details FormInspired by Japanese knives, the octagonal oak handle is lightweight yet secure in the hand. Corners are softly rounded, and the handle is slightly larger than standard for improved comfort and control.
