I visited this abandoned chateau in 2013. It was quite a tense mission as this chateau was ginormous in size and I was quite exposed in the approach to it. I loved this beautiful staircase. It was built in the early 20th century. In 1919, the castle and its vast estate was sold, and then sold again several times over the years. One owner used it as a holiday camp for the children of a national company. It was acquired a few years ago by an investor and has been well restored apparently.
