It is built with set-thru construction at classic 24.75” scale for smooth access to the higher frets, using a three-piece thin U-shaped mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard with 22 extra-jumbo Jescar stainless steel frets and mother-of-pearl split-flag inlays. The USA Eclipse Black has a carefully selected set of components, including Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners, TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece, Dunlop strap locks, and a bone nut. Its direct-mount pickups are Fishman’s innovative active Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker active pickups (ceramic in the bridge and alnico in the neck), with push-pull control to select voicings, and black nickel covers that match the exceptional aesthetics of this guitar. Each pickup offers two voices. With the ceramic bridge pickup, Voice 1 is the ultimate high-output ceramic humbucker bridge pickup tone… crisp, searing crunch, tight bass with no mud, and a growl. Voice 2 delivers modern passive attack performance that has superbly organic distortion characteristics with outstanding dynamics and response. The alnico neck pickup’s Voice 1 is Fishman’s modern active high-output tone, offering the ideal active alnico sound: full, round, and boosted, but with unprecedented articulation and dynamics. Voice 2 gives you the crisp, clean and fluid neck humbucker tone you’ve always wanted. The USA Eclipse Black includes a custom ESP USA form-fitting hardshell case, and an official Certificate of Authenticity from ESP. Graphite Neck Reinforcement Bars Get maximum strength and stability from your guitar’s neck, with higher long-term reliability. All ESP USA models are made with two high-strength bars of carbon fiber.
