Espresso Mezzo is a bold, structured espresso blend for drinkers who like real backbone in the cup. Freshly roasted on demand in our Montréal facility, it balances Arabica from South America and Ethiopia with a generous share of Robusta, building a full body, a beautiful crema, and light notes of pepper and clove. It is a striking, spice-tinged espresso with plenty of character. Tasting Notes Mezzo sits in the fuller, thicker part of the intensity scale, prized for its structure and weight. Light notes of pepper and clove give it a distinctive, spicy edge, carried by a dense body and a thick, lasting crema. Bold and characterful, it holds its own as a short shot and stands up confidently to milk. Origin This is a blend of 55% Arabica and 45% Robusta, with the Arabica sourced from South America and Ethiopia and the Robusta from Asia. The Ethiopian Arabica lends aroma and complexity, while the Robusta builds body, caffeine, and that signature crema. Bringing together beans from several regions gives Mezzo its bold, structured character from bag to bag. Roast Espresso Mezzo is finished at a medium roast, developed to build body and caramelise the beans' natural sugars for a fuller, rounder cup. As a blend, it carries our Medium Roast designation rather than a single-origin roast profile, letting the spice notes and structured body come through in a smooth, drinkable espresso. Brewing For espresso, use about 1 tbsp (8 g) of coffee per 1 oz (30 ml) of fresh water. For filter or drip coffee, use 1 tbsp (8 g) per 8.5 oz (250 ml) of fresh water.
