Espresso Workout Blend was created by Kev, founder and head roaster at Square Bean Coffee. As a competitive Olympic weightlifter, Kev wanted a coffee he could genuinely use before training. He wanted the naturally higher caffeine of robusta but refused to compromise by using the harsh, bitter commercial robusta that gave the species its poor reputation. Instead, he sourced a specialty Uganda robusta with excellent cup quality and blended it with Brazil Eagle Monte arabica to produce a coffee that delivers both flavour and function.
