Essential is a word we have heard used countless times throughout recent world events. While it is important to protect the body, the Bible teaches us that the needs of the soul ar e truly essential. Jesus said, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:6-37) This gospel tract, written by Pastor Scott Hooks calls the reader to consider the essential need of his soul. Many people spend much of their time and energy trying to make their way in this world with no regard for the world to come.
