Advanced Nitrogen & Vitality Supplement ATI® Essential Nitro is a high-performance component of the ATI® Essentials System, specifically engineered to provide a comprehensive nitrogen supply for modern reef aquariums. Unlike basic nitrate additives, Essential Nitro utilizes a sophisticated blend of organic and inorganic nitrogen sources that are more easily metabolized by corals. This results in superior growth rates, better nutrient uptake, and enhanced biological resilience. The Science of Bio-Available Nitrogen In many ultra-low nutrient systems (ULNS), nitrogen can become a limiting factor, leading to pale coral tissue and stalled growth. Essential Nitro addresses this by providing nitrogen in the forms corals naturally prefer. Multi-Source Nitrogen: Contains a balanced mix of urea and ammonium alongside traditional nitrogen sources. This variety ensures that different species of corals and beneficial microbes can access the specific nitrogen form they need. Enhanced Polyp Expansion: Users typically observe immediate improvements in polyp extension as corals react to the bio-available organic compounds. Chromoprotein Support: By providing the building blocks for proteins, Essential Nitro supports the formation of active chromoproteins, leading to deeper, more vibrant coral coloration. Amino Acids & Vitamins: Fortified with essential vitamins and amino acids, this formula supports the coral holobiont’s overall vitality and immune response. Growth & Vitality: Prevents the "stunting" effect caused by nitrogen limitation, allowing stony corals to reach their full growth potential. The ATI® Essentials System Advantage Targeted Nutrition: The ideal complement to the ATI® Essentials SPS and Essentials Mixed Reef base systems. Pharmaceutical Purity: Formulated using high-grade raw materials to ensure no unwanted contaminants are introduced to the system. Low Nitrate Impact: Because it focuses on more efficient nitrogen sources, it helps fuel coral growth without unnecessarily spiking nitrate levels in the water column. Dosage & Application Guideline Dosage: 0.5 ml per 100 liters (26 gal) daily. Adjustment: Dosage should be adjusted based on the specific needs of your aquarium. Observe coral response and monitor nutrient levels to find the ideal daily amount for your system. Synergy: Works best when maintained alongside a stable phosphate level (see ATI® Essential Phospho).
