DESCRIPTION At the heart of the Ethernet Module Mini is the W5500 chip from Wiznet, which uses hardware logic gates to implement the transport layer and network layer of the TCP/IP protocol stack (such as TCP, UDP, ICMP, IPv4, ARP, IGMP, PPPoE, and other protocols), and integrates the data link layer, physical layer, and 32K-byte RAM as data transceiver cache. The W5500 is externally connected to an 80MHz high-speed SPI for different platforms to expand high-speed Ethernet solutions. The automatic negotiation LED status shows that the SPI connection speed is fast and stable.
