Bookkisa is a sub-kebele, or a small administrative unit, within the Odo Shakiso woreda of the Guji Zone in Ethiopia. It's known for its coffee production, with a collective of around 35 farmers delivering their cherry to a central drying station managed by Sookoo Coffee. Sookoo Coffee manages the processing of the coffee cherries, including drying, sorting, and preparing for export. In the cup we tasted black tea, berries, melon...this is a gorgeous example of what an Ethiopian coffee should be.
