After four generations of farming and winemaking in the Côte de Beaune, Domaine Etienne Sauzet is still synonymous with high-quality, elegant, Burgundian Chardonnay. Although the w inemaking techniques have been modernized, the tradition of estate-bottling and of aging wines on their lees for 10-12 months to “nourish them” is still respected and results in superbly finished, fruity, and full-bodied wines. This Aligoté contains a charming bouquet of white peaches and flowers, with a bit of chalk, gunpowder and smoke.
