In Sicilian dialect, Iddu — "him" — is what locals call Etna: a presence so powerful it shapes life on the island. Tombolesi took that name and that gravity as her starting point. The stool is formed from hammered aluminium moulds packed with jesmonite and white sand — volcanic in material logic, elemental in form. It holds a room the way the mountain holds a landscape.
