AKA 'River Red Gum Tree', endemic to Australia. One of the MOST cold hardy Eucalyptus trees around, to 12 degree Fahrenheit! They CAN survive in Austin's climate! Gorgeous red leav es and stems, aromatic, tolerant of drought, sun, and shade. Can grow to 100', evergreen. Essential oil from the leaves is a traditional aboriginal herbal remedy for coughs, sore throats, and colds.
