Eupatorium maculatum, or "Spotted Joe-Pye Weed", is a native with a lovely foliage effect in the open meadow. Large, flat topped flower clusters provide nectar for wildlife. Suited to informal, naturalized settings. Especially nice in waterside gardens as it is often used to stabilize streambanks. Terrific plant for butterfly garden.
