Electro-Voice 309A Suspension Shockmount for RE20 / RE27N/D / RE320 Description Broadcast orientation suspension shock mount for RE20, RE27N/D, and RE320 microphones. Black. Optional item. The Electro-Voice 309A suspension shock mountwas designed specifically for use with the RE20,RE27N/D, and RE320 dynamic microphones. It providesnear-perfect shock isolation for those already internallyshock mounted microphones. For most applications,the Model 309A may be attached directly to therecording boom or to a floor stand. A stand adapter with5/8”–27 thread is provided.The 309A mount design allows quick installation of theRE20, RE27N/D, or RE320 microphone without tools.A double safety factor is provided to ensure that themicrophone will remain attached to the shock mountunder any conditions. First a “bayonet” locking actionassures that the microphone will not fall out of the shockmount under its own weight. Additionally, a set screw(wing type) can be tightened to lock the microphone inplace after it has been properly positioned.Four (4) molded neoprene shock cords suspend andsupport the microphone within an aluminum and steelframe-work to effectively isolate it from mechanical shockand vibration.
