The base bourbon uses a mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley, aged in Level 3 new charred American oak barrels where Kentucky's seasonal temperature swings drive flavor development. That straight bourbon is then blended with sweet Georgia peach flavoring and bottled at 65 proof — strong enough to retain noticeable whiskey structure rather than reading as pure candy.Tasting NotesAroma: Fresh, ripe saturn peach dominates the nose immediately, followed by delicate peach blossom and a recognizable bourbon warmth underneath. A faint suggestion of pink cotton candy and cream soda rounds out the bouquet.Taste: The entry is juicy and lush with sweet peach that quickly develops into layers of honey and caramel on the mid-palate. As the bourbon base asserts itself, you pick up vanilla and a touch of lemon brightness that keeps the sweetness from becoming one-dimensional. The mouthfeel is moderately sweet with a glycerous, medium-bodied texture.Finish: The bourbon emerges clearly on the finish, providing a warm, grounding presence that lingers alongside soft peach sweetness. It fades gently with residual honey and a trace of toasted oak from the charred barrel aging. How to Drink Evan Williams PeachStraight from the freezer or poured over crushed ice, this expression works well as a cold, refreshing sipper where the peach flavor stays bright and the bourbon warmth softens. It also shines as a cocktail ingredient in these builds: Peach Bourbon Smash — muddled mint and fresh lemon amplify the stone-fruit character while the bourbon base provides depth. Georgia Mule — ginger beer's spice cuts through the sweetness, and the peach adds a summery twist to the classic bourbon mule template. Peach Sweet Tea Cocktail — mixed with iced tea and a squeeze of lemon, the honey and caramel notes in the bourbon integrate naturally with the tea's tannins. It positions firmly in the value tier of flavored whiskeys, delivering Gold-medal-recognized quality at an entry-level price point that undercuts many competitors in the flavored bourbon category. Why Evan Williams Peach? What separates this bottle from the crowded flavored whiskey shelf is the bourbon base it starts with — Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon, the second-best-selling Kentucky straight bourbon in the world, built on a corn-heavy 78% mashbill aged in Level 3 charred oak. That foundation means the peach flavoring enhances rather than masks the whiskey. Gold medals from both the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the ASCOT Awards confirm that the balance holds up to professional scrutiny. For a flavored bourbon at this price tier, few competitors deliver the same combination of real bourbon character, bright fruit flavor, and critical recognition.
