These 5 week pottery courses are perfect for beginners or anyone wishing to expand their pottery knowledge. With small group sizes you get plenty of support as you create pieces you’ll be proud to take home. The course is tailored to you, you’re welcome to bring your ideas, sketches, or even a Pinterest board, and Niamh will help you bring them to life. Course example if you're a beginner: Week 1 – Introduction to handbuilding through pinchingWeek 2 – Pinching techniques and surface designWeek 3 – Introduction to slab building and coloured clayWeek 4 – Finishing your slab-built projectWeek 5 – Glazing your bisque-fired pieces Returning students will get the opportunity to learn the potters wheel alongside more challenging handbuilding projects. After the course, your work will be ready to collect from Hope Pottery 4 weeks later.
