Here, in this enchanting yet challenging landscape, your mission is to build and nurture a thriving city. You’ll need to brave the elements as you clear snow, ignite fires to keep your citizens warm, and accomplish crucial quests for the illustrious Ranger’s Guild. In Silverfrost, you will dispatch your critter workers to a variety of thrilling locations across the board, cards, and even the icy mountains to gather essential resources and trigger unique effects. Transform these resources into vibrant cards that build your city before your eyes. On each turn, choose from three possible actions: Place a worker, Play a card, or Prepare for the next season. Strategically place your workers at any Basic Location, a Red Destination card in your own or your opponents’ cities, the Forge, the Hot Springs, or atop a mountaintop Beacon—just beware of the pesky Snow or other workers that may block your way! Claim valuable resources or perform powerful actions as you navigate this snowy terrain. If the location is buried in snow, don’t worry! Just spend a Fire resource to clear the path. Plus, with your unique Ranger worker, visit occupied locations or earn extra Fire resources when adventuring solo. When it comes to playing cards, pay the designated cost in resources to bring your ideas to life. If you’re casting a Critter, reignite your options by playing it for free with one of your two Chimneys, provided you have enough Fire to keep them burning. You can select cards either from your hand or from the delightful selection of face-up cards in the Valley. Expect a treasure trove of new and potent abilities in nearly every card, ensuring an abundance of strategic depth and exciting combinations. Once all your workers are busy, it’s time to prepare for the next season. Call back your workers, gain a new one, and execute the actions assigned for the upcoming season, bringing fresh snowfall and challenges to your city. Conclude your game when you’ve traversed through all seasons, culminating in Spring, and can no longer take actions. The player with the most points at the finale emerges victorious!
