Throughout history, humanity has been enthralled by the idea of heroes. From Hercules to Superman, the heroic narrative in literature, the arts and culture has been passed from one generation to the next. But heroism is not some unattainable ideal. It is not reserved only for mythology. Heroism is a worthy goal that lies within our grasp. That is the central message of Everyday Heroes, a new documentary film featuring the witnesses of remarkable brother Knights, whose courage, faith and commitment to charity embody the mission of the Knights of Columbus. From the college football star who selflessly put the needs of others before his own, to the Special Olympics athlete who gives witness to the dignity of all human life these stories demonstrate how the betterment of our world ultimately begins with the individual human heart.
