Oil on canvas.18x24"To me gold represents mystery. Some say it came from supernovae and neutron star collisions that occurred before the solar system formed. Ancient people regarded gold as sacred and used it to create their idols for worship. But it is also being used in modern times for electronic components and aerospace applications such as to protect space ships. Some even believe it has other worldly being connections. When I was painting Everything Changes I was thinking about how time passes and things evolve. I was thinking about life and all its mysteries. I also recalled a poem that I would like to share: Nothing Gold Can Stay-by Robert Frost Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. Everything Changes is a mediumly textured oil on gallery canvas painting. It catches the light beautifully. I have intentionally painted the sides black as I feel that this demonstrates that the sides are not part of the painting. As well, I think having the sides black creates a beautiful contrast and enhances the work. This work will also come wired for your convenience. The painting is signed on the front and is signed and numbered on the back. The work will be safely shipped and will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
