Description Light/Soil/Water Hardiness Eve's Needle Cactus (Austrocylindropuntia subulata) is a species of tree cactus native to the Peruvian Andes. The leaves are awl-like and green-yellow and can grow up to 5 inches on a mature plant. It grows up to 13 feet in the native habitat but much smaller in cultivation. Eve’s Needle produces pretty, red, cup-shaped flowers from mid-spring to mid-summer. All of the plants may be shipped bare root. Full sun (6 or more hours of direct sunlight a day) and partial shade (Direct sunlight only part of the day, 2-6 hours) It’s best to water thoroughly and then allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again.
