The Epocalypse is the battery-boosted member of Evil's gravity family — an electric long-travel 29er built around the same playful, planted attitude as the much-loved Wreckoning. For the first time it's offered as a frame kit, so you can start from this acclaimed carbon chassis and build it up exactly the way you want. At its heart sits a Shimano EP801 motor delivering up to 85Nm of torque, fed by a fully integrated 630Wh battery that drops in and out through a covert door in the downtube for ten-second swaps. Evil's tune gives you two power profiles — one for maximum punch, one to stretch your range — and you can fine-tune things further through the Shimano E-Tube app. The frame pairs 166mm of DELTA-system rear travel with a 29in wheelset and is designed around a 160–170mm fork, giving the balanced, confidence-inspiring geometry Evil is known for. A pair of UD carbon triangles wraps the motor, with a skid plate beneath the unit and a shuttle shield under the downtube for protection, plus sound-damping strips on the chain and seat stays to keep things quiet over rough ground. Short 442mm chainstays, a wide SuperBoost+ 157mm rear end, clearance for a 29 × 2.6in tyre, a SRAM UDH hanger and Evil's signature flip chips round out a frame that's as adjustable as it is capable. The kit arrives with the heavy lifting done: motor, 630Wh battery, charger, cycle computer, assist switch, speed sensor, Shimano cranks and chainring, a Fox X2 Factory rear shock and Evil's own Energy carbon handlebar with internal routing. Add your choice of fork, wheels, drivetrain and finishing kit and you've got a build that's all your own. Evil also back the frame with a lifetime frame and bearing warranty for the original owner.
