Protect your energy and elevate your daily ritual. Crafted by Holly Zajur, each evil eye pottery mug is a wheel-thrown, hand-altered, and hand-painted piece featuring a hand-sculpted donut handle. Each vessel is a uniquely crafted, one-of-a-kind functional piece of art designed to ground your daily routine. Whether you’re choosing one as a personal talisman or picking out intentional evil eye presents, like a meaningful evil eye birthday gift for Mom, a sister, or a close friend, this mug carries a promise of protection for the hands that hold it. The Story Behind the Symbol The Evil Eye is a universal symbol of protection. Its story began over 5,000 years ago with the birth of Mediterranean glassmaking, emerging from the earliest roots of human craftsmanship. It takes many names and forms across cultures, but its core purpose remains: to protect you from negative energy and thoughts. Rooted in her Lebanese-Mexican heritage, the evil eye was a familiar symbol for Holly growing up. In exploring this motif, Holly asked one of her Tías in Mexico about the symbol. Her Tía shared that the evil eye actively protects you from the envy or ill thoughts of others. Crafting this collection served as a way to embody how to protect energy physically, mentally, creatively, and spiritually. A Note on the Ritual Each piece of evil eye pottery comes with a ritual card to help you integrate the power of the evil eye as you slowly sip. Hold this vessel close to ground your spirit and protect your energy. To honor the tradition of the evil eye, if your mug ever breaks, its work is done. Simply discard the pieces and thank it for the protection it provided. May this mug bring a quiet ritual of grounding, joy to your creative spirit, and protect your energy.
