Evolve I-Root Rooting Powder by Dirt ’n Grow is a professional propagation aid designed to support root development in plant cuttings. Formulated with indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), this rooting hormone helps encourage consistent root initiation and strong early growth when propagating from cuttings. Available in multiple strengths, this powder is suitable for both soft and semi-hardwood cuttings, making it a versatile option for a wide range of plants including houseplants, ornamentals, shrubs, and perennials. The powder format is easy to apply and works well for both small-scale propagation and larger batch projects. Evolve I-Root powders are not organic and are formulated specifically to support propagation success through controlled concentrations of IBA. The different formulas allow growers to match the rooting strength to the type of cutting being used. For best results, dip freshly cut stem ends into a small amount of powder, tap off any excess, and insert into your preferred propagation medium. Avoid dipping directly into the original container to maintain product quality over time. This product is available in two formula options. I-Root #1 contains 0.20% indole-3-butyric acid and is designed for softwood cuttings, while I-Root #2 contains 0.40% indole-3-butyric acid and is suitable for semi-hardwood cuttings.
