PLEASE NOTE: ANY ORDERS AFTER MARCH 5TH WILL NOT BE DELIVERED IN TIME FOR EASTER SUNDAY As the Easter Vigil approaches, it’s essential to find a paschal candle that Catholic communities will cherish for both its beauty and theological depth. The Upon This Rock Paschal Design, part of the distinguished Eximious® collection from Cathedral Candle Company, serves as a striking visual catechesis on the role of Peter, the first Pope, and the humility of the Apostles. With accents in silver, gold, and deep crimson, this Catholic Paschal candle is rich with the iconography of St. Peter. Look closely, and you will see the intricate adornment of silver and gold keys. These keys represent the authority entrusted to Peter by Christ to bind and loose on earth and in heaven. The central inverted cross holds meaning as well. Tradition holds that Peter, feeling unworthy to die in the same manner as his Lord, requested to be crucified upside down. This powerful symbol serves as a reminder of ultimate humility and sacrificial love. We are proud to carry this artisanal Paschal candle from Cathedral Candle Company, which represents the finest in handmade USA craftsmanship! This Catholic Paschal candle is made with 51% beeswax for a clean, even burn. Each order includes a set of wax nails with incense tips and current year/date stickers for the preparation rites.
