When Kittens Attack — and Fight BackSomeone plays a card. The room tenses. Then the kitten explodes — and instead of accepting their fate, it explodes right back. Rage Mode cranks up the chaos of the original Exploding Kittens with a new competitive twist that turns every round into a shouting, laughing, card-slapping battle for survival. What It IsFrom Exploding Kittens — the team behind one of the most-backed Kickstarter games in history — Rage Mode is a standalone expansion that amps up the beloved card game with new mechanics designed to create more conflict, more drama, and more moments where someone dramatically flips their hand onto the table and declares the game rigged. The core loop is still delightfully simple: draw cards, avoid exploding, do terrible things to the people you invited over for a nice evening. But Rage Mode layers in competitive attack cards and escalating pressure that makes every turn feel higher-stakes than the last. This isn't the version you play when things are calm. This is the version you pull out when the group is ready to get rowdy.Who It's ForExploding Kittens Rage Mode plays best with 2–5 players and is rated for ages 7 and up, making it a genuinely family-friendly option despite the competitive edge — though it truly comes alive with a lively group of four or five who aren't afraid to target each other. Rounds move fast, usually wrapping up in 15–30 minutes, which makes it an excellent icebreaker, a between-rounds palate cleanser, or the anchor game for a casual game night. No prior gaming experience needed — if you can hold a hand of cards and enjoy watching someone else sweat, you're ready to play. What's in the Box Beautifully illustrated cards in the signature Exploding Kittens art style — irreverent, detailed, and genuinely funny to read Compact box size that slides easily into a bag or backpack for game nights on the go Playable as a standalone game or combinable with other Exploding Kittens titles for larger groups and longer sessions Cards built to handle repeated shuffling, sweaty hands, and the general abuse a well-loved party game accumulates over time Specifications Specification Detail Publisher Exploding Kittens Players 2–5 Ideal Player Count 4–5 Age Range 7+ Play Time 15–30 minutes Game Weight Light Language English
