The film debut of Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix had a troubled release. After the studio insisted that editing completed early, it was released one day after the Live Aid concert and in competition with Back To The Future. As a result, its box office performance was poor. However, it subsequently gained a VHS audience and is now a firm cult favourite! We have no idea which artist is responsible for the amazing artwork of this poster, which is a real shame. (Could it be John Alvin?) It is stunning. So evocative. We love it! Unusually for the time, this example was issued rolled, rather than folded. It looks like it has been stored with some tri-folded posters at some point as there are feint lines, but they do not distract from the poster, which will look incredible framed and on the wall of any 1980's sci-fi fan.
