Exploring Creation with Earth Science, 2nd Edition Exploring Creation with Earth Science turns the study of our planet into a hands-on investigation of the world beneath your feet, the skies above you, and the forces that shape it all. From earthquakes and volcanoes to clouds, weather, rocks, oceans, and soil, this elementary earth science curriculum invites students to observe, question, experiment, and discover. Written from a Christian worldview, the course uses a conversational, Charlotte Mason–influenced style that feels more like a guided exploration than a traditional textbook. Lessons encourage students to engage with what they're learning through experiments, observations, projects, and notebooking activities rather than simply memorizing facts. The colorful hardcover textbook provides the instruction, while the Notebooking Journal lets your student take ownership of what he’s learning. We especially appreciate how the Notebooking Journal helps busy families organize the course with a suggested daily schedule, project and experiment pages, creative activities, templates, and more. One of the strengths of Apologia's elementary science courses is their flexibility. Families can easily teach multiple children together, making the program a practical choice for homeschool households with a range of ages. Younger students can dictate or illustrate their responses, while older students can write in greater depth, making the course workable for multi-age family learning. Throughout the course, students investigate topics such as weather patterns, erosion, soil composition, Earth's structure, and natural processes through hands-on activities that make abstract concepts easier to understand. If your child is fascinated by storms, rocks, maps, or the natural world in general, Exploring Creation with Earth Science provides a thoughtful introduction to earth science while helping students develop observation, documentation, and critical-thinking skills along the way.
