Needle decompression, nasopharyngeal airway insertion and bag-valve-mask ventilation are provider-scope skills; deploy those components only within your training, credentialing and scope of practice. Blast injury patterns differ from gunshot wounds, and this kit is loaded for simultaneous injuries, burns and pattern injuries that a standard TCCC casualty profile does not describe — train the whole team on its specialized contents rather than assuming familiarity from a standard IFAK.
