The Côte Citron Export Consortium was originally conceived in 1996 by a syndicate of expat members with the sole aim of making the Rochambeau’s house panaché widely available outsi de of club jurisdiction. Early members are believed to have included shipping conglomerate Maersk, a pre-scandal Salomon Brothers, and up to 50% of Daft Punk. Revitalised from the archives thirty years on, the cap is now a recognised symbol of panaché appreciation around the world.
