EXPOSED GROUND by Kylie Daniel This piece feels like the earth has been stripped back… like you’re seeing what normally sits underneath. The surface is heavy and textured, almost l ike wet ground or rock that’s been worn down and opened up over time. There’s a sense that something has shifted here — like the land has been pushed, pulled, or weathered until it’s finally revealed what’s beneath. Even though it’s a smaller piece, it still carries that same weight. The textures do all the talking… you can almost feel the grit and movement in it. There’s a quiet tension to it too — that balance between calm sky above and the darker, exposed ground below. It draws you in a little closer, makes you look a bit longer… like you’re trying to work out what’s happened here. Show more
