This elegant dining table in the Louis XV style, supplied with a matched set of six chairs, is sure to be a much-admired dining suite in the family home. It was sourced in France before being returned to one of our UK workshops for restoration. This beautifully finished table has ample space to accommodate the six chairs comfortably for family dining when not extended. It could even be used as a table and four chairs if preferred. The two large extending leaves then offer a generous dining surface for special occasions, allowing up to four additional place settings for guests. The main table top features beautiful oak veneered marquetry, while the extension leaves have an attractive oak veneer grain on display. The stylish design of the chair backs and legs, which elegantly match the table frame, really sets this table apart in class and distinction. The rush weaved seat pads are particularly attractive, ensuring a comfortable place to rest and enjoy meals. This dining suite has been stripped and cleaned by our restoration workshop before receiving a fresh matt lacquer finish that enhances the colour and character of the oak as well as providing a good level of everyday protection. The table frame is constructed from oak. The top and extension leaves are a mixture of oak and oak veneer. The chairs are oak.
