Extended Body Mayfly - Blue Wing Olive, Grey, Olive & Tan Extended Body Mayflies are highly realistic dry fly patterns designed to imitate adult mayflies with a more natural profile and delicate silhouette on the water. Known for their lifelike appearance and excellent floatation, these patterns are highly effective during mayfly hatches when trout become selective on adult insects drifting on the surface. The extended body design creates a more accurate mayfly shape while helping the fly ride naturally in slower currents, pools, and slick water conditions. These versatile patterns are effective for trout, bass, panfish, and other surface-feeding fish. Especially productive during active daytime hatches when fish are feeding aggressively on emerging and adult mayflies.
