Gen5DIY has this switch kit available for those with the optional bed lighting kit. This allows you to turn on your bed lights from outside the truck. Waterproof switch will mount right inside the bed and is available in your choice of red, blue or green LED. Power from the switch will come from your 7 pin trailer plug harness. Works on 15-26 with factory installed bed lights only. Additional side note, not all trucks will illuminate all the lights as shown in the video. The switch kit will definitely illuminate the bed lights on all models. The wiring is the same on all models but for some reason not all trucks will illuminate the mirror lights and overhead cargo light. We tend to see it more so on the 20+Models INSTALL On the trailer connector you will be putting the posi-tap around the orange wire*, it is 1 of the 2 very large wires, the other is white, which is a ground. *Not all models will have an orange wire, some may be red. Remove the bed light from the bed, by releasing the tab on the light, unplug the light and install our harness into the light. When installing please confirm that the black wire on the original truck harness lines up with the black wire on our harness when you plug it in. If it doesn't please see below. From there route the wires to the switch (location is up to you). Hole size is approximately 15/16". We like to use a stepped bit and start and 3/4" and slowly enlarge it till the switch will fit snug into the hole. Switch connection: Middle terminal connects to the red wire. Brass terminal connects to the black wire. Yellow connects to the outside tin silver terminal. If your black wire and our black wire didn't line up then wire connection will be as follows. Black to middle terminal and red to brass terminal. Video Install: (Note - we now use a cleaner circle switch to allow install to be smoother.)
