Finishing & Care This door arrives prefinished and ready to hang, professionally finished to bring out the oak's natural tone and grain. Like any external oak door, it is best fitted in a sheltered spot, under a porch or canopy, rather than fully exposed to driving rain or strong sun. Timber is a natural material and can move a little as it settles in; the occasional minor adjustment is a normal part of looking after a solid oak door. Although supplied prefinished, this door should be re-coated roughly every six months with a suitable external treatment such as the Impranol range, and kept dry through the use of a canopy or similar.
