PLASTIC BACKING PLATE - 85MM ROUND MOUNT FOR SIDEVIEW MIRROR GLASS Universal Automotive Sideview Mirror Glass Plastic Backing Plate, AKA Back Plate. This backing plate only fits the 85mm (3 11/32 inch) round dial mount found mainly on most European vehicles, but many US, Japanese, or Korean models that follow European parts design or have European original design roots also use this mount. FITMENT: This plastic backing plate can be installed on an intact round mirror head that measures 85mm (3 11/32 inch). The inside area within the mirror body painted cover where the glass sits should have a space of 225 X 155 mm (8 7/16 X 6 3/16 inch) or more, otherwise some trimming of the plastic backing plate perimeter may be necessary. Check the pictures that show the shape and size of this plastic backing plate and compare to the size and shape of your mirror head mount, as well as the shape and size of mirror glass on vehicle to choose closest shape and size backing plate that provides enough surface for the glass to be stuck on. INSTALLATION: Since this item is general purpose, some modification and/or trimming of the plastic backing may be necessary to make it fit inside the body painted mirror cover, and to provide optimum surface to stick the glass on it. Additionally, if the original mirror glass is heated then the location or position of mirror glass heater grid electrical connector prongs may not match the location of the hole cut on this plastic backing plate and possibly creating 2 holes may be required.
