The result is advanced protection against blisters in the lightest sock possible. PTFE has the lowest coefficient of friction of any fiber, making it the best at reducing friction between the skin and sock. Low friction allows Extra Protection socks to stay cooler and drier, reducing the chances of hot spots & blisters. This system has PTFE fibers in the heel, forefoot, and toe areas of the socks. These socks are designed to be the lightest and thinnest socks built with PTFE fibers in the market. CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Machine Wash warm with like colors. To whiten socks, use bleach alternatives. Tumble dry on low heat. Do not iron. Do not use fabric softeners; they leave a residual coating on fibers and fabrics, preventing them from performing as designed. To remove fabric softeners, simply launder with detergent and rinse. Do not use Chlorine Bleach. It does not degrade into smaller, more mobile PFAS under normal conditions and is not water-soluble. Non-bioavailability: Due to its size and inertness, PTFE is not bioavailable. It does not accumulate in the body, interact with cells, or be easily absorbed. This distinguishes it from smaller, more mobile PFAS that pose greater health and environmental concerns.
