Extra Select Niger Seeds is a superb little seed, easily digestible and high in oils, protein and energy. It is loved by finches and tits and its favourable amino acid pattern mean s it is very useful when fledgings are about. Not to be confused with thistle for which it is often mistaken (and often mis-sold). You will need a special feeder for niger because the seeds are so light and will be blown out of the usual tubular types, but its certainly worth it. Best fed from a feeder. Show more
