Product Overview Telescopic pole with a soft neoprene grip, for brooms, floor brushes and mop heads. It collapses to 33 inches for transport and extends to 60 inches, locking at any length in between so the operator sets it to their own height rather than working bent over. Important — Thread Standard The pole is threaded to the standard US broom and mop thread. Most professional cleaning heads sold in Australia use that thread, but not all household and hardware brooms do. It is not the fitting used by the Hydro-Force grout brushes we stock. Those take their own named handles — AB36 takes the AB18H wood handle, and AB113 takes the AB22H handle. If you are buying this pole for a specific head, tell us which one and we will confirm the thread before you order. Why a Neoprene Grip Blisters come from a bare aluminium or timber shaft worked hard in a wet hand, and the usual answer is gloves, which cost dexterity. A soft grip is the version that does not. Specifications Collapsed length 33 inches (approximately 84 cm) Extended length 60 inches (approximately 152 cm) Material Aluminium shaft, neoprene upper grip Thread Standard US broom, brush and mop thread Locking Locks at any length across the range The manufacturer does not publish the pole weight or the load it will take. Rather than estimate them, we have left them out. Applications Floor brushes and brooms on commercial work Mop heads Any standing task where operators of different heights share the same tool Operating Advice Set the length to the operator, not to the job. The point of a telescopic pole is that the person using it works upright. Check the lock before loading it. A pole that collapses mid-stroke puts the operator on the floor. Collapse it for transport. Extended poles are what get stood on and bent in the back of a van. Rinse the shaft after chemical work and let it dry before collapsing it, so residue is not trapped inside the joint. Frequently Asked Questions Will it fit my existing broom head? If the head uses the standard US broom thread, yes. Tell us what you have and we will check before you order. Will it fit the Hydro-Force grout brushes? No. Those use their own handles — AB18H for the AB36, AB22H for the AB113. How short does it go? 33 inches, roughly 84 cm, which fits across a van shelf rather than lying diagonally in the load space. Is aluminium strong enough for scrubbing? For brush and mop work, yes. It is a pole for pushing and pulling a head, not a lever. Can it be hung up for storage? Yes. Storing it hanging rather than standing in a corner keeps the lock clean and stops the shaft taking a bend. Before ordering a pole, check the head you intend to put on it — the thread is the only part of a pole that has to match anything.
