The EZPZ Incubator is designed to hold 60 EZPZ Queen Cages securely. It also holds the new EZPZ Cut Cell Cages. The heart of this queen cell incubator is the Incukit Mini 2. It has temperature sensing with a 0.1 degree accuracy and full adjustment capability. It also reads humidity (but you need to adjust moisture levels if needed). IMPORTANT! The controller will maintain temperature very well in normal room temperature conditions. In a cold space, you may need to throw a towel over it. In sunny conditions, it can overheat quickly! The body of the queen cell incubator is made of sturdy, UV and temperature resistant PETG using 3D printers. It latches closed securely and opens fully with the carry handle doubling as a prop for the lid. The included 60 cell tray is designed like our 30 cell tray, to space the cages efficiently and hold them securely. The included trough will hold a small, wet sponge to keep the humidity up if needed. A blue sponge is included. Additional ways to power the incubator (not included): The power port, located on the side, can also be used with a car plug adapter for mobility or a 12 volt battery bank for full portability in the field. The simplest way is to get a battery bank with a 12 volt DC output. I've done this with a Talentcell 12/9/5V Lithium ion Battery Pack, 122Wh Rechargeable. This has operated the unit up to 5 hours. I don't recommend smaller battery packs. I set it up to stick to the side of the incubator with a velcro pad. When choosing that or a car plug adapter, get one with a Male Plug to DC 5.5X 2.1mm (also called a 5521DC). Make sure it's at least 4 Amps. NOTE: If you have the older style EZPZ Queen Cages made in white plastic, the fit in the tray may be very snug. The new cages are made of better, more durable material and have a cleaner finish.
