Cucumis melo. This orange- and green-fleshed melon is from Isleta Pueblo near Albuquerque, New Mexico. Tolerates heat. A very diverse accession, with some plants producing round fr uit and some producing longer, oblong fruit shapes. Some ribbed and some not. For this and other thin skinned melons, turn the growing melons once a week to keep them from developing a soft spot where they touch the ground. From our Seed-Bank Collection.
