The potential of hybrid mast architecture was impossible to ignore. The results seen in high-performance Moth racing demonstrated a new path forward for hydrofoil design, but weight, safety, cost, and compliance with World Sailing regulations presented challenges that could not be overlooked. Our mission became clear: deliver the geometry, drag reduction, and wetted surface area advantages of a hybrid mast in the most elegant, practical, and accessible package possible. The result is the SR. Built on the same groundbreaking architecture as our race-proven 108 Hybrid Mast, the SR represents a fundamental shift in how a hydrofoil interacts with the water and, more importantly, how a rider interacts with the foil. While the speed and efficiency gains are remarkable, what truly drove our excitement throughout development was something much harder to measure.
