The stock S55 charge pipes are notorious for developing hairline cracks at their plastic seams — invisible to the eye, but they open under boost, leaking charged air into the engine bay, robbing power and forcing the turbos to work harder. Each pipe has a methanol/nitrous port toward the rear so supply lines run discreetly out of sight.
