Lightly tap down droplets that may be formed by the trigger spray. Gentle heat (e.g. hairdryer) can even increase the effectiveness of the Protector. After cleaning: The cleaned surface has to be well wiped with a moist cloth to remove any detergent residue. The protector should be sprayed onto the dry textile.
