Featured Work: “Face in the Clouds” – Honoring Meredith Hambrick “Face in the Clouds” is a dreamlike, ethereal masterpiece from the Lasky/Israel Collection that merges beauty and spirit in a way that feels both intimate and infinite. Featuring Meredith Hambrick, this piece transcends portraiture—it is a quiet tribute to a woman whose compassion lifted others. Meredith’s face emerges through layers of soft, swirling clouds, her eyes serene, her expression both powerful and tender. The effect is otherworldly, yet grounded in warmth—much like Meredith herself. The original image was captured by Bob Lasky with a Hasselblad camera, then handed off to Michael Israel, who transformed the scene with gentle airbrush work, giving it the feeling of sky, light, and memory blended as one. More than an artwork, “Face in the Clouds” now stands as a visual echo of Meredith’s legacy. Her life was marked by service and heart—especially her dedication to helping battered women and single mothers. She offered encouragement, strength, and a sense of hope to those who needed it most. With both of her beloved parents, John and Barbara Hambrick, preceding her in death, Meredith’s spirit now lives on in this celestial portrait. “Face in the Clouds” is more than a face—it is a symbol of compassion, remembrance, and the quiet strength that forever rises above. This rare piece is available through Fourth Realm Fine Art as part of the original Lasky/Israel analog collection.
