Evoking the old world charm of yesteryear, the Factory Outdoor Pendant Light brings subtle vintage flair to your outdoor settings. Styled after the factory warehouse lighting of years gone by, the shade made from brass, copper or steel and come in a selection of modern and vintage finishes to suit a range of décor styles. Leave plain or pair with a cage guard or glass cover for added character. The IP rated suspension cord allows its use in a range of undercover spaces such as front porches, patios and courtyards. The white shades pictured can be purchased separately here. The Black shades are available in steel with black enamel outer and white inner while the White and Federation Green shades are steel with a painted finish and a white inner. The brass shades are made from solid brass. The copper shades are made from solid copper. The Aged Solid Brass/Copper shades have been fired for a deeper aged look. The Bright Brass/Copper shades have been mildly buffed on the outside to give them a brighter finish and then left raw. The inside is cleaned (not buffed) and then left raw. The shades are then oil rubbed to preserve the look for longer. Both finishes will continue to patina over time dependent on the environmental conditions they are placed in. The bright finish will patina at a slower rate because of the oil-rubbed finish. Our brass and copper shades are made with 100% natural materials. The finishes are not designed to be a uniform, consistent finish. A consistent finish can only be achieved through electroplating over cheaper materials. The beauty of choosing natural materials are the characteristics of the imperfections and patina which continue to develop over time. The imperfections are not considered defects. The Vintage Steel shades are made from quality steel. The steel is left raw and then oil-rubbed to give it a matt finish and minimise the oxidisation/ rusting/ spotting. This preserves the raw vintage steel look. It will continue to patina though dependent on the environmental conditions it is placed in. The shades may display minor spot rusting from the method of finish. This is in line with the intended style and is not considered a defect. The optional cage guard adds 80mm to the height of the shade. The cage guards pictured in gold/brass and white finish can be purchased separately from here. The guard with frosted glass and matt black rim can be purchased here, and adds an extra 30mm to shade's height. Its black 3m PVC pendant cord is IP rated. This light has an IP22 rating (protected against vertically falling drops of water). Always check with your electrician to see if this light is suitable for your desired placement. Please also consider suitability of materials for your installation location. The three wooden mounting blocks shown in the picture are not included. They can be purchased separately from here. Select the 10cm version from the drop down menu for this fitting. The pendant light requires a bayonet in (B22) bulb. 40W max. This outdoor light is suitable for indoor use as well.
