Latin name - Tripsacum dactyloides Fakahatchee grass is a Florida native clumping grass that makes an excellent border or accent plant. Each clump is between 4 and 6 feet tall and wide with small, sharp teeth along the edges of the leaves. Fakahatchee grass is the larval food plant for the Byssus skipper butterfly.
