As summer gives way to autumn and golden light settles across the landscape, this forest bathing walk offers space to notice change and transition. During this two-hour experience on the Southern Meadow Trail at Mendon Ponds Park, you’ll explore a gentle, mindful way of being in the woods, quite different from an ordinary hike—no water involved! Forest “bathing” is about immersing yourself in the sights, sounds, and sensations of the forest rather than tracking distance or identifying every plant and bird. Through flexible, guided invitations, you’ll slow down, awaken your senses, and reflect on the shifts in the season and in yourself. You’ll close with light snacks and time to gather your thoughts before heading back into your day. Please note: This class is an active walking tour, approximately 1 mile on natural terrain. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. The rain date is September 20th from 9:00AM–11:00AM.
