Our simple & fun Autumn / Fall activities are designed for toddlers and preschool children, encouraging them to learn through play. From nature-based counting cards to shadow matching and colour sorting, this bundle includes the perfect collection of activities to create an educational week of learning around this colourful season. You will receive 10 easy DIY leaf activities and 6 larger activities, with instructions on how to carry out each. Most games begin with an outdoor activity, where children will be encouraged to collect the materials they will then use in each game. This helps them explore their surroundings and understand where the autumn materials originate. Part 1 - DIY Activity Cards include: Leaf People Leaf Memory Leaf Confetti Sticky Leaf Tree Leaf Prints Leafy Hair Leaf Rubbings Leaf Wreaths Leaf Puppets Leaf Cutting Station We've included thoughtful activity ideas that utilise leaves, along with materials you will find around the house. It's a great way to keep them busy, so you can enjoy your coffee and hopefully have a little giggle at our added 'mummentary'. Part 2 - Activities include: 3 Part Cards: Our Autumn Activities use Montessori 3-Part Cards as a learning tool. These consist of a card with the picture & word label (reference card), a card with the picture, and a card with the word label. Children are encouraged to shuffle the word/colour labels and match these to the corresponding images. Initially using the reference card, then eventually doing so without as their skills and understanding develops. 3 Part Cards are a powerful tool to help children internalise the information found on each card. There are 4 activity ideas for these 3 Part Cards: Picture/colour match (younger children), Picture/word match, colour sorting, memory. Leaf Shadow Matching: Your child will be encouraged to match each leaf to its corresponding shadow. This activity helps develop visual discrimination skills. Nature-Based Number Cards (0-10): This is a fantastic early maths activity to help with number recognition and counting skills. With bonus nature walk, it also makes a great outdoor activity for kids. Activities are designed and printed in Australia, on a 350gsm uncoated card stock. You will receive 44 x A6 cards. Please note: As this is for children, we always recommend adult supervision. Colours may vary due to how screens read colours differently.
