Most beds are designed around lying down. The Farmhouse Bed also considers everything that happens before and after. Armrests at both sides provide a supportive place for the hand while sitting up, sitting down, or standing. Pull-and-roll grips help the body turn onto its side before rising. At the foot of the bed, a 19-inch-high perch creates a natural place to sit while dressing, and integrated bookshelf storage keeps baskets, blankets, and favorite objects within the architecture of the bed. A slat-roll support system eliminates the need for a box spring or foundation and works with frame-friendly adjustable bases. Crafted from kiln-dried solid meranti wood and hand-finished in Seadrift or Gray Wash, the Farmhouse makes practical support feel warm, familiar, and fully at home in the room.
